Granville Academy Scholarship
OBJECTIVE
Encourage Granville Academy Alumni to pursue higher education, make
contributions to their communities and encourage others to do the same.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicant must be a current active member of the Granville Academy .
Current and active is defined as attending 75% of classes, participating in
Academy community service projects and financially supporting any Academy
fundraising projects. At a minimum students should be enrolled for three consecutive years.
QUALIFYING FACTORS
- Applicant must be graduating from an accredited secondary educational institution
- Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning for the Fall school term (i.e., college, community college, trade school)
- Applicant must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Applicant must have attended 75% of classes each year
- Applicant must have financially supported the Academy fund raising project
AWARDS AND PAYMENTS
- An award of $200 for each year of active participation in the Academy will be paid
directly to the school, upon verification of enrollment from the school the students is
attending
The maximum scholarship award is $1,000
- An Achievement Award of $100 will be paid directly to students who do not qualify
for the Granville Academy Northern Virginia Scholarship.
- Students must submit all required paperwork to the Academy by September 1, following the students’ graduation from High School. Failure to meet this deadline will result in forfeiture of all Academy scholarships.
- Based on the results of fund raising projects, the awards may be adjusted at the
discretion of the Academy.
